I think that we're going to go ahead and make a major upgrade to the forum software and begin using vBulletin in the next few weeks or so.
The vBulletin message forum software is considered to be one of the best around, and all upgrades and modules are handled seamlessly ... requiring less of my time to keep things running!

Just when I was getting used to this one. Oh well my boss always says: "Change is our friend."

lol, well most of the really big and powerful sites are run using vBulletin as the message forum. Technically, it's not all that different. There will be several advantages.
1) You can quickly see all new activity in the board. No more having to search through everything, or depending on the top-10 list on the home page.
2) You will have a link to your own photo gallery directly in your profile. Folks can click one button and your photo gallery will pop-up.
3) You will only have one profile to update instead of two. Right now, you have a website (postnuke) profile to update and a message forum (phpBB) to update. With the new vBulletin, you will only have one.
4) The board will not really need to go down to be updated. It will be stable and run more smoothly!
