My mother in law's 2004 Malibu (50,000 miles) seems to have a problem where the door-open sensor isn't working properly. I'm not sure if it's getting stuck or if the switch is bad.
I hit everything I could see with some WD40 and it seemed to work better for a little while, but it still does this from time to time.
Anyone had this experience? I may look into getting replacement Malibu Parts (http://www.gmpartsclub.com/chevy-malibu-parts.html)
