I'm about 180 miles - 220 miles per week on average. My wife puts on maybe 50 at the most.

That was fun voting early. I just made my group (over 300) jump to a big lead with my one vote! I think there should have been an even bigger choice like over 500. It's close, but I probably would have selected that one with my commuting and driving my five kids all over. Actually only four kids because one now has his own GM truck.

On monday, I drive 180 miles to a place I live during the week for work. Then the daily commute is 30 miles one way. Then I drive home 180 miles. 660 minimum weekly...
I bought the 2004 Colorado last April with 20K, now has 66K.

I don't drive like I used to.
Since my stroke I find it hard to spend more than a couple of hours behind the wheel.
So most of my driving is in town, to doctors appt.
When I was working before the stroke I would drive to jobs less than an hour each way everyday.
If it was more than 1 1/2 hours away I would drive then stay at a motel. Just not worth driving that far each way after a 12 hour shift.

My miles per week varies so it would not be accurate for me to vote. It all depends on if I am working that week and where the job site is( self employed carpenter ), if it is hunting season, and so on. I put approx 12,500 miles a year on my truck. 1/3-1/2 of that is during hunting season. I can go weeks and maybe put on 300 miles or I can do that in a day if I have to travel a ways to the job.
I bought my truck on March 29, 2006. I currently only have 10,516 miles on it as of Feb 2, 2007.

I do at least 625 a week, when I only have a 5 day week. It is about 120 round trip, and that is just commuting, I didn't include driving the kids around and stuff like that.
Luckily my wife only goes 4 each way or else we would get killed on gas. My truck is ok, get about 17 on the highway, but my wife's SUV only gets 14.

I drive about 130 to 140 miles a day. Most of it is interstate i-95 and i-4 in crowded, sunny florida. Traffic tends to wear out the nerves of even the most patient of us. Why can't everyone just do 80 in the fast lane and 76 in the slow lane. Steady 24 MPG with the I-5 Colorado.

I drive far more than 300 a week. A round trip to work is 190 miles. Then add up taking the kids to school, getting groceries, going to the local walmart, ect. I have to change my oil twice a month, sometimes more. On average I put 7500 miles per month on my suburban. I feel like I never get out from behind the wheel. Hey but thats fine by me. The only problem I have is filling up. My wallet is always lite.

Because it is illegal and dangerous to travel that fast.

I commute 160 miles roundtrip each day, 4 days a week. My wife alos makes that same drive one day a week. We work together so she rides with me on my days. So all in all it adds up to 800 miles / week plus the driving to lunch and errands at work.
Last year I think we put close to 50K mles on our car.
By the way, we drive our Prius to work most of the time. Now that we got a new Suburban we drive it maybe once a week. Ouch on the gas bill with it.

My wife was born and raised in New Britain, CT and her brother lives in Avon so we head up that direction about twice a year to visit her family. Also my wife and I met at college in Greenville, SC and her sister attends there now so we go out there usually once a year to visit her and some of our friends. We usually stop by DE on the way to CT to visit my grandparents and see the ocean.

Without a doutb it would be SC. The people are friendlier and the scenery is gorgeous. Greenville, SC is very close to Paris Mountain so we usually head up there to the state park and do some hiking. Plus no parent in-laws:biggrin:
I drive an '05 Venture to deliver nuclear medicines to pharmacies and hospitals in Ohio and surrounding states. I just turned 334,000 miles on it this weekend. That's about 2900 miles a week. OK, so it's my job, but it's also how far I drive each week!

thanks for joining up. I want to pick your brain on the venture as it's on the list of new vehicles that we're going to start looking at. Feel free to post in the van section.
I'd be happy to help, Steve. Of course the Venture isn't made anymore, it's been replaced by the Uplander. Same basic vehicle, though. I just bought a 2007 new style Silverado for myself (pronounced "wife") and was delighted to find this forum. I'll be sure to visit the van section often. This site opens up a whole new world of information and friends.

I do between 80 and 100 a day. There was a time when I'd clock 200+ in a day, when I was doing burglar alarm work, but luckily that's over... I have a 45 mile one-way commute into work 5 days a week. Then, I pull the Sub out and run around in it on the weekends, probably clock another 150 miles on the weekend.

I put 18,000 miles on a 2007 Colorado that i bought brand new last Feb. So well over 300 miles a week. As Americans we are "living" in our rides (dvd systems, stereo systems that cost as much as the ride, computers ) In my knick of the woods you can pay more for a ride than a house to live in! Im strayin from the question but in a nutshell we spend lots of time behind the wheel.

We got my new Suburban in October and I already have about 5600 miles on it. And I'm using it much less than my old one, because my daughter now has the old one so I don't have to drive her everywhere! We should be an ad for Chevy. Of driving age are my husband and I, of course, and our two oldest kids. We have two Suburbans and two heavy duty 2500 Silverado Pickups. And we all pour the miles on. I guess that's why we don't do anything else!

I'm not sure how many miles it is, but it takes me 5 minutes and 23 seconds to get from work to home and vice versa. It's all the extra driving I do because I LOVE driving my truck that gets me in the above 75 mile/week range! Of course that's diminished a little since gas became so expensive - but it didn't diminish much. :)

I only have to drive 3 miles round trip to the train station near my house...but when I need to go pick something up at the store, its usually 50 miles. We've also been doing alot of towing our race car around the state this summer, with diesel bills easily outpacing the racing entry fees. :(

Well to go to work is 31KM, so a round trip is 62KM. Right now I travel to work 4 days a week, but will be back up to 5 days a week. This works out to be 248KM - 310KM just to get to work, plus a little driving around on the days off, so probably about 400KM a week which is around 250 Miles.
