Just saw an ad for the new GM 5 year / 100K warranty. I guess it comes with free loaner vehicle and roadside assistance too.

It actually says "courtesy transportation" which I guess is a loaner vehicle. Anyone know?

in the old days a company would put up a big warranty knowing they wouldn't have any claims, thus giving the consumer the feeling they are purchasing a good product, they're not gonna have any problems with... now a days it means, the company makes a competitive product, or just as good as the leading companies, but we'll fix it for free!..... with their track record since 1997 with coolant related gasket failures, it shouldn't take too long to see how it'll work out.

Hey Guys,
I have had my 2004 Z71 for about 8 months now. Bought it at 33000.
I have 42,000 now and already the water pump went. Thanks to the 7/100 Added care plus contract it only cost $100. The repair job cost ~700 (Yikes).
The plan cost $1700 when I bought the truck, it is well worth it. I had a 96 Tahoe before this and I also had the extended warrenty on that one.

It's good to see GM step up again to the warranty plate. Company I work for had a huge contract with them (and had to move to Ford because of it)
Warranty is a big selling point for any car company nowadays.

New Hummers have a 4y/50K Bumper to Bumper. If you buy a certified used hummer it is 6y/100K. Not a bad deal. And I know what everyone is thinking Hummers are expensive...well thats true but an H3 is the same price as a Nicely Equipped Trailblazer... Just a thought:biggrin:
