I'm curious where you look first to find the best deals on replacement parts/upgrades.

I get a lot of deals on eBay. As always I set a limit and bid low and stay low. I don't always win, but when I do I win big. Yesterday at the swap meet I found a mom&pop selling things automotive and their starting price on APC type projector headlamps was $130. When I get ready to upgrade my lighting I'm definitely going to check them out.

Ebay for sure. I have always saved a bundle on parts and upgrades. It's been nice finding factory GM parts cheaper than going through the dealer.

For my Wife's 2001 Suburban, I found great deals on factory GM running boards, roll-up privacy cover for cargo area, crossbars for luggage rack, and upgrade floormats. For my 2006 Silverado 2500HD I have bought a bed-extender, and chrome fuel door. All Factory GM and lower prices than the dealer parts store or online GM accessories web sites.

Hmm, I need to change my answer. I have bought stuff off eBay, mostly stereo upgrades and things like that. It was much cheaper doing that than anything else.

Other than that, I go to one of the 3 or 4 chain stores aroung my house. Autozone, O'Reilly's or whatever.

I must agree E-bay is a cool place to get deals. But sometimes I like to put my mitts on the part before I buy it. I guess it depends on what part it is.

I have a list in the garage with phone numbers in this order.

Napa
CarQuest
Motor Supply
VIP

All local parts stores.

These I use for replacement repair parts. I don’t do fancy upgrades.

I would like to do running boards, but I look in our local want adds. We have a local one called Uncle Henry’s. It comes out every Thursday.

I don’t do Ebay. If I can’t see it before I buy it, I don’t.
