Keyless Entry

I have a '96 K1500. My keyless entry stopped working. I changed the batteries in the remote, but that didn't help. I have been looking for a fuse to see if that was blown, but I can't find it. I have a Chilton's manual, it doesn't show that system on the schematics. Anybody have any ideas?

Have you tried to reprogram the remote?

Do you have to go to the dealer for that or can I do it myself?
