Yes or no? Do you like having a Dead pedal to rest your left foot on?

I can't say that I've had many vehicles that had one. When it did have one, I don't recall actually using it.

On short trips i guess it's OK. Like waiting in traffic. But on a long trip i guess i would rather just stretch that leg out. Maybe while taking a nap and letting the cruise control take over:lol:

well in the 81 k-20 if it had one you woulden't be able to hit the brights, and in my mustang it's so far over to the left that it's actually pretty uncomfortable to use

I don't really like it, but the new truck has one, so I guess I'll have to deal...
I'm 6'6" so they tend to cut into my legroom

The first car I ever drove that had a dead pedal was the BMW 320i. I thought it was pretty cool, and after that any car that didn't have one couldn't be called a "sports car." Now I like the late Tony Hogg's definition of a sports car: "It doesn't have anything on it that doesn't make it go faster." He was referring to the 427 Cobra.

I honestly have no idea what the heck a dead pedal is, I usually stretch my leg out no matter what I'm in. Now I am going to have to go outside and look at the floor on the driver's side, I am curious as to what you are talking about.

I have one in the Vette and Monte Carlo. Truck doesn't come with one and needs it really bad. I'm used to having a dead pedal and get full use of it in my Vette since that is also a track/autocross car.

What aftermarket vendor makes one for the truck? It need keep your foot at the same height as the gas pedal. So it would need some amount of backing on it. Just screwing a generic dead pedal to the floor in these trucks would be show and not functional.

I kinda just throw that foot underneath my other leg on the floorboard. If I dont, my leg gets stiff. I really don't see a reason for the foot rest.
