Well, I'm amazed that the traffic has just about doubled every 2 months this year, so we're about to hit critical mass.

You decided on a pick-up? Cool!

Are you going with the trail manor?

I keep thinking about a tent trailer, that's just about right for my family right now. Something fairly lightweight, but good enough to get out of town for a few days and rough it.

Well, we are growing at such a rate now that I believe we will be the biggest and best site in the near future.

The best way to keep it going is to post messages. If you post it, they will come.

Just found y'all last month. Looks mighty good to me. Just acquired an 06 1500HD, today, actually. No pix yet, but I'll post 1 or 2 sometime this coming week if time permits.

Take care,

Gotta love the Silverado! I only wish I had a lowered SS to compliment my 2500HD so I would have the best of both worlds!

Sorry it took so long to answer, but I must have missed it at the first of the month. I'm happy so far with my '04 /Z71 Crew Cab, just turned 80000 miles. If the steering column didn't rattle, I'd be happpier!

Try taking the plastic bottom cover off (Dash piece) and undoing those 2 bolts that hold steering column up there. Slip in a piece of rubber. I used tool box liner (Comes in rolls) Then tighten back up. It worked for me in another truck.

Something like this..

Hey Steve - here's the pics. 2 of the truck, and 2 of the Camaro. The Daytona pic is before I had it painted - that's ALL that's been done to it - it's NOT a resto!!! And yes - I'm the original owner, and I drove it on the track

The Silverado is LOADED :oh: It was special built for a GM Exec, and never titled or sold to the public until now. 14,257 miles on it. *92* option codes:eek: I can only ID 3 things it DOESN'T have: nav system; pass seat sensor for the airbag; and block heater. I've likely missed a couple others, though. Anyway, enjoy.

site is ok, no different from others. but what i found is that there are very few DIY folks around here. usually, forums like this swarm with all the tree shade mech-s that have done everything, know everything, and are of greast help with any practical question. here it's all kind of - ah, do you have a bugguard? what else can i bolt on to make my ego feel better? how can i make dealer richer by letting them do everything? little, just little practicality.
i have been to honda and acura forums on a regular basis - most of them high paid engeneers would have learned grossly from what's discussed on those sites.

I guess the names says it all....

We are a GM Truck Club first. We are GM Truck owners that come together and discuss their rides, share pictures, swap stories, talk about cool add-ons, and even help each other with common repairs. I have learned alot about my GM Trucks by reading what others experience and what to expect. I DO frequent other sites for specialties and info on the Duramax Diesel, performance products, etc. Usually the info I find, I share here. If I need to fix something that would need an expert to explain, I usally Google it for an answer. This site would be pretty boring to only talk about technical issues.

Gotta say I love this forum. I ran into a problem with my winshield wipers last winter and after I was able to start a thread with my problem and after only a few posts I was able to fix it. Definitely saved me a trip to the dealership and probably the loan I would have taken out to pay for the fix. There is definitely plenty of people in these forums with a wealth of knowledge and as a first time chevy and truck owner I glad I came across this. Thanks for all you guys do.

Has anyone noticed that after brak in period was over their fuel mileage did not change at all? Just wondering if I was the only one that really did check to see that after 5k my mileage should level out to be more accurate?

I just joined.....And so far, so good. I would like to find others that have the "Limited Edition" Silverado. I have a 2004, Factory 20" wheels, gas shocks, Torsion Bar front suspension, Larger dia. sway bars, Limited Slip Diff. and I think the rubber stops for the suspension are part of it too. I don't remember what else was part of it. But, it is the fastest thing I've owned since my "71 El Camino w/ a 350 & my 65 Chevy II w/ a built 283
