I have been working on my car today and I found this bundled
wire with a 3-way connector with a lit on it on the front left side
it was on the chassis, what does this connect to??
I have a k1500 ext cab z71 1998.
I also have a loose connector in the engine-bay hanging down just
at the front of the ecu colors are white and pink
it seemed never been used but I'm just curious
greetings from the Netherlands

Does this truck have cruise control?
A lot of options that are installed at the factory are prewired and if the truck doesn’t have the option the wires are already there.
This is just a guess and a bump to the top for ya.

It's probably the trailer brake wiring harness. Check out this thread and see if it is what you have.

If not, snap a picture of it and give us a look.

I had found the thread for the back wiring but this is
at the front of the vehicle driver-side.
here is a picture so maybe someone recognize this connector.

That is for an electric heater for the engine. It's an North America 110Volt A/C plug.
Or it could be for a float charger for the battery. More than likely the engine block heater.

OK that makes sense
I didn't recognize the plug because we have 220v over here and
different plugs.
So that's keeping the coolant warm by extreme temperatures.
I think I don't need it here because last winter we had 5 days of -5celsius
But again a little mystery is solved and I know my truck a little better.
