This applies to the full size trucks, not sure about the Colorados. You can lift the front of the truck by cranking the torsion bars, but only safely about 2". Any more than that, your upper control arms will be hitting the bumpstops and your shocks may not be long enough. To make the adjustment, locate the torsion bar and follow it back to just about under the seats where it will enter into a crossmember between the frame rails. You will see a bolt with the head pointing down just below the end of the torsion bar, this is the adjusting bolt. Turn it clock wise to raise the truck. 1 full turn equal 1/4 inch of lift. After any adjustments from stock you must have the truck re-aligned. Again this is how to do it on a full size truck, not sure about yours.

Yes, you can do it with a Colorado. I have a friend who did it to level his out. One thing to remember (as GaryL mentioned) is to get it aligned soon after!

Here are a set of Torsion Bar Keys (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/READY-LIFT-2-5-TORSION-BAR-KEY-02-07-CHEVY-COLORADO_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33585QQihZ003Q QitemZ130129307682QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW) that will lift your truck (level it out) and not lose your stock ride comfort.

is it possible to adjust my torsion bars to have my truck look level and fit 33's on it

Idk if they will fit,but I wouldn't recommend it, this will cause the truck to ride very rough. A leveling kit would lift the front end without compromising ride quality
