Anybody fool around with where the power range is on a 4.2 I6? I've really noticed that there is some sic reserve power rolling at about 30/40MPH. Punch it down rolling and it takes off like a rocket. From a stand still it takes off like a school bus loaded with kids. Mine is an EXT so I was wondering if the regular TB's are the same? (Steve your excluded. You keep breaking yours)

At first I was thinking gearing, but then I remembered reading something about the ECU not allowing harsh take offs. It will create a hesitation on purpose when you mash the pedal from a dead stop.

I also have a 2005 TB and it scared the crap out of me when i punched it on a surface street in traffic to go around someone. Holy Hell can it go at that rpm range
