Hey Ya'll....
I wanted to find the actual rear axle ratio for my 95 3/4 4x4 Suburban.
I thought that it would be stamped on the pumpkin housing????
But I can't find it???
The door sticker is very faded and can't make out any wordings.
Thanks for the help in advance!!!!!!

Find your RPO code list (a list of 3 digit codes). On trucks, I think it is usually in the glove box (is on my '98 Suburuban). Somewhere in that list will be a code that indicates the gear ratio installed at the factory.
Alternatively, you could measure gear ratio by lifting the tires and counting the number of revolutions of the driveshaft for a given number of revolutions of the tire.

Being a 3/4 ton, does it have the 14 bolt rear end (I don't think that's in the RPO codes)? If it's a 14 bolt rear (with a G80 "gov-lock" and 4.10 gear ratio), I'd say that's a pretty good combination.

Shorty....
Yes in fact it is a 14 bolt.......Sweet combo I would say......Didn't know that when I bought it. It was a state forest truck from ID.
You know the state stuff ...they spare any money!!!!
Thanks for the help....
