Hi,

I've got a friend with a 93 burban. He has had alot of issues with his wiring...such as doors locking themselves, sometimes it doesn't want to start, battery drains while parked...all kinds of stuff. From what he's told me is that some of his looks bad, so I told him to just find a replacement wiring harness. Well I guess GM doesn't have any, and I can't find any aftermarket places that offer replacement harnesses.

Does anyone have a source for wiring besides junkyards?

Thanks,

Roy

I don't know of an aftermarket harness mfg. for anything after 1982. You could get the gm part number from the local dealer and try www.gmpartsclub.com (http://www.gmpartsclub.com). Whenever you post a question it is a good idea to include the year model and info such as manual/auto 4x4 etc.

Before you condemn the entire wiring harness, check you battery, battery cable connections, and most importantly, your engine and body grounds!! You'd be amazed what electrical gremlins can be exorcised by just checking and securing ground connections!!
