Sorry. They are ugly. I guess I am getting too old or too environmentally conscious - probably both. Most of the new wheels are fuel inefficient and ugly on top of it all. And they waste a lot in their manufacture. They are what I would consider to be gawdy - extremely gawdy as in conspicuous consumption. Bring it on!

I agree Paul. Many of the aftermarket wheels don't make sense. I remember the day when it was steel or nothing from the OEM. Now they too, have jumped on the lucrative alloy wheel 20" and bigger craze. I do think that many of the designs are good looking and improve the curb appeal of a truck. I just can't justify dropping that kind of coin on a set of wheels just for looks. I would much rather treat the wife to an island vacation.:glasses:

I don't care how big the wheels are as long as you have enought tire to back it up. Like 24's or 37 inch all terrain or muds. In my opionion awesome.

You can make any "spinner" type wheel do that with alittle sticky weights on the back side, lol. <-Personal experience, lol.

I personally am putting aside my profession in lue of the looks, lol. Im going with some 22" KMC XD Rockstar series wheels. Those are ment to be off-roading wheels but im ganna mate them with some directional tread 305/40/22 Hankook Ventus RS RH06 tyres. What ya think?

Yeah I love the rockstars. I thought about going with them but I found a good deal on my current wheel/tire setup so I'll save that money for something else.

I just had the same question and the answer is, just go to photobucket.com and upload your pics, it's free. Then I think it's the last code on the bottom of the image. Just copy and paste. :great:

It seems to me that the trend to larger wheels with low profile tires can only be for looks only. I understand why you want a combination like this on a sports car or a lowered truck, but a short sidewall tire is just the opposite of what you would want in a true 4wd/off road situation. You need a tall sidewall with low pressure to allow the tire to form around rocks, etc. for traction. The low porfile, short sidewall tire just won't perform under these conditions.

However, if you are buying these wheel and tire combos for looks...........that is certainly a matter of personal taste, which is not debatable as far as I am concerned. If you like to looks of 'em, more power to you. Post up some pics!
