After the cd player quit on the alpine, I've been pondering what to do. When I'm out 4wheeling the CD player isn't worth much because it skips so much. I saw a Blaupunkt unit that eliminated the cd player and went with an SD card. Not liking the idea that I could lose those tiny cards, I opted for the USB format. I've got plenty of them around and I can hook them to a keychain to keep them in one place. I went with the Kenwood KRC MP435U. It has a front mount usb port for my portable music and includes a remote. It has a CD player for around town use. I had Epic Sound (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&q=epic+sound&near=Victorville,+CA+92394&fb=1&view=text&reviews=1&ei=sT8lR9zwG4XSogPXyvywAw&latlng=34534052,-117316047,18393744273496840258&action=open) in Victorville handle the work. While they were at it I had them install a car alarm to add the convenience of remote power door locks.
