I have a gmc suburban and a tahoe, the filter for the suburban is different than the one for the tahoe. Is it possibe to adapte the suburban to the tahoe filter

Anything is possible with enough time, money, and ingenuity. Can you give specifics: Years, engines, transmissions, 4wd/2wd, which filter, etc.?

The filter I am taking about is on a 1996 gmc suburban two wheel dirve 5.7 enging and on a 1999 tahoe 4dr, 4wd 5.7 engine and a 1996 buick roadmaster wagon 5.7 engine.

What I am trying to do is stock only one filter that fits all the engines.

Thank

I assume we are talking engine oil filter here.

I noticed the first time I bought a filter for my Suburban that there were two different filters for 2wd vs. 4wd. I guess there are potential interference issues between 2wd filter and the driveshaft. However, I doubt there are any differences in the 5.7 engine blocks during those years (though I'm not certain of that) that would prevent you from putting a 4wd filter mount onto any of those 5.7's

for the airbox air intake filter, you should go with the biggest filter that one vehicle uses, that fits in all vehicles. Then it should be as simple as locating 2 spare airboxs from the vehicle that has the filter you want to use, and do a bit of creative cutting and mounting in the other vehicles.
