So it looks like we're going to head out of town just like a ton of other folks. I got the Trailblazer serviced and registered, everything checks out ok. Have a full tank of gas, the GPS loaded with the best route, lots of food and drinks, a DVD player to watch some movies to pass the time and just have a few hours to kill for the drive each day.

Looks like the new ad campaigns have come out for the new 2009 Chevy Silverado Hybrid. I saw one and sat in it at both the Tarrant County Auto Show and the Dallas Auto Show earlier in the year, and I hope to get to drive one soon.
From what I hear, it's very similar to the advancements made that can be seen in the Chevy Tahoe. I got to drive one of those last year for an extended period of time and I got something insane like 24 MPG in heavy city driving. That impressed the socks off
Ok, this is really shocking. I was just talking the other day in the GMTC Marketplace that there is a product that actually works to block the reflective flash from the red light camera ... then I get a ticket in the mail alleging that I ran a red light.
What's interesting about Dallas, they showed a close up of my license plate on the ticket, and there is a website for the company that manages the cameras. They showed a photo of the vehicle before it crossed the line, a photo after
