So I figure I'll start writting about the road Betty's goin from Stock to what I have in mind for her!

    Whew, talk about another hiatus! I've FINALLY finished the install and refining of my my DiabLew tune for my Sierra. We originally used the the 87 Octane tune as a starting point, FYI. After finishing the steady driving portion of my logging, the next step (after a final revision to the tune program) was to actually perform a WOT (Wide Open Throttle) log.   2. RECON Snag

    So there I was washin the truck when I noticed a couple of wet spots in the upper corners of my back window. At first I thought it was the back window itself leakin (warrenty issue), but (thankfully? TBD...) turns out the trouble was my RECON 3rd brake light. It was a teo part fault. First part was user error, in my exhuberance to install the light I over tightened the light putting small cracks in the exterior housing (voiding the warrenty). Second problem was product related.   3. Diablew Tuning II

    Well I've finally installed the first of Lew's tunes! So far it has definitely improved the performance of the truck! The stock Trinity 87 Octane tune was a lot more aggressive on the shift points (VERY hard shifting), where as Lew's tune has smoothed out the shifting. He may have smoothed it out, but it still shifts a LOT more quickly than stock! I've also noticed a more smooth engine performance throughout the RPM range, which is nice! I'm expecting a slight MPG gain because of this, ...

    I finally received my Trinity a few days back, and immediately started tinkerin with it! After talkin with Lew, I went ahead and installed the 87 Octane tune to get a baseline. Boy what a difference that makes already! At this point, I'm not too interested in what MPG gain I've received, as I can't keep my foot off the gas at this point! The shifting has become a lot more aggressive and responsive! I'm giddy to think of what the next few weeks will be like, as I continue to refine the tune ...
  5. Diablew Programmer Decisions!

    I finally have the extra cash to pull the trigger on a Diablo programmer from Lew! I get to Lew's page to order the Trinity, and what do I find? He now offers the inTune as well! Now that made me pause, as I like the Trinity, but savin $200 on an inTune instead is quite tempting! Figure I'm gonna hold off over the weekend to think about it, and make a decision next week. I'll letcha know what I finally decide upon!
