2006 5.3L Silverado truck has been running with out a hitch until now @ 140k miles, I first noticed that the oil level would fluctuate +/- half a bar (on the gauge). When its cold or idling at its low point, once the engine reaches optimum temperature + at 1800rpm its back to normal. Before the oil pressure would always be stuck right smack in the middle.
Then suddenly, i started to hear lifter noise, not the usual multiple lifter noise when you start the engine in the morning, however
Just installed a slid out platform in my truck. Since my knees went out I can't kneel so loading my truck (it has a shell on it) was very difficult. Now I just slide out the platform, load it up, strap it down, (it has adjustable tie-down eyelets) and slide it back in! Was pricy for what it is but now I don't dread loading up my truck

I just built a 454 and have the same problem. Fuel lines are not clogged, tried two different fuel pumps, the rod moves in and out on the lobe, and there is no fuel filter between the tank and the pump on my truck to get plugged. Still I have no fuel to the carb. If you figure it out please keep me informed.
