This is my first try at "blogging", so those who visit here "be gentle"! I will be trying to keep this centered on my 2004 Chevy Z/71 crew cab and what I use it for and do to it.

I bought this truck to pull behind my motor home, when we venture out for our travels. I had a 2002 Ford Super Crew which I had to have a drive shaft disconnect installed on, to pull behind the motor home. I liked the crew cab Ford, but didn't have very good luck with the Remco disconnect. The Chevy is very easy to get ready to pull, just push two buttons and your ready.

Also, I've been a Chevy person all of my life. I boght a new motor home last year (2007 Winnabago Adventurer 39'). It is a really big Chevy, as it has the 8.1L gas engine and 6 speed Allison tranny. The pickup is really too heavy for this motor home and when I buy again I'll but a smaller truck (Colorado, maybe). My old motor home had a 8.3L Cummins diesel so it didn't matter what I pulled behind it. This is a classic case of getting the "cart before the horse". If I had bought the motor home first, I would have gone with a smaller truck to start with.
