2004 Chevy Tahoe Brake light problem

Hey everyone, I own a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and have been experiencing a problem with my left brake light. When I start the vehicle both red tail lights come on but when I press my brake the left tail light will not light up. I've seen the light bulb work so is there something wrong in the wiring? What needs to be done to fix this problem?
