I have question about my Chevy Tahoe '12 LT.

Couple of days ago we had a huge rain. Next day, when I was driving, I was able to hear a clear sound similar to "splashing a water in half-full big bottle". I stopped and went around the car. On right side, right between front and back passenger's doors, there was a steady leak of water. I have checked inside the cabin for any water and found none. No smell either.

Anyone have any ideas what I am dealing with? Thank you.

i have a 98 2 door tahoe, it s 4wd, and has the nice fender flares. only problem is it was tipped on its side, smashing in everything on the driver side.. not bad, just panels. but the rear quarter panel and window were my only concern. rather than putting the money to replace them right away to be functional, what if i cut of the top from the rear window line, and make it look like a truck, like the old broncos. I would probably fit it with a roll cage over the back half, with some over the top offroad lights, and mount the tire on the back half of the cage to give it an offroad appeal.

does anybody know if the late model suburban rear quarter panel will fit a 2 door tahoe? because if i can find good tins for the truck, at a reasonable price ,i may try and not cut it up, but for the 6k quote i got, i think my minds made up.

Hi all,

I recently blew a TBI gasket, so I decided to bite the bullet and clear out my trucks "to-do" list.

Pre-work:
I had codes 22,32,35,54 stored in the computer before the work, and the MIL would come on every so often while driving and turn off after a minute or two. I've owned the truck since '08, and have put roughly 70K on it. (At 264K now)

Work Done:
I replaced the TBI mount gasket. I cleaned out/degunked the TBI assembly. I replaced all the gunked up vacuum lines between the TBI and EGR, PCV, etc. I replaced the EGR valve and the PCV. EGR solinoid is 2 years old. IAC is a year old. I cleaned the IAC, but it wasn't that dirty. Replaced the ripped air inlet pipe, as well as the air filter. (eventually replaced both the coolant temp sensor to the ECM, and the pigtail)

The issue:
Overall the truck runs better than it ever has, except for the transition between idle and light acceleration, where it bogs severely. It did not do this before the work. The truck will run OK when it gets to speed, or at idle. I also now have a solid on MIL with codes 14 & 15 (Coolant Sensor Circuit Shorted & Coolant Sensor Circuit Open).
After replacing the sensor (TS4052 from Napa), I checked it for proper operation. I measured it from 800 Ohms down to 200 ohms while the engine heated. Same issue of bogging on light acceleration, MIL on.

5V is present on the pigtail, ground appears solid. I replaced the pigtail just to be sure, same issues.

The strangest part is that if I put a 470 ohm resistor across the pigtail, the truck runs fine and the MIL turns off. Slightly rough at times, but overall no hesitations or bogging on a 7 minute trip to the auto parts store. Could I have bought a bunk sensor? ECM toast? Other thoughts?

I can live with keeping the resistor in place for the short term, but I am absolutely out of ideas on the sensor short of buying another one...even though this one appears OK on the multi meter.

Appreciate any advice you can give.

It has been a bit of an issue since I got it but but now its been a week and it wont start. I replaced the fuel filter a couple days ago. Today I checked the fuel pressure, when the pump is on it shoots to 60 but as soon as the fuel pump stops running the pressure drops fast. I pulled out one if the plugs and they aren't wet. There is obviously a problem with the fuel system somewhere but I'm at a loss at this point. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, my son is thinking about buying a GMC Yukon with an "Altitude" trim package on it. I think he's suckered into the look of the truck with the wheels and tires it has on it. I've never heard of this package and can find no information on it. The truck just seems like a stripped down Yukon with leather interior. It has no extras like heated seats, steering wheel controls, sun roof, power adjustable pedals etc. It even had a smaller 4.8 engine. Does anyone know what the other differences this truck has over the regular Yukons ? Like I said it seems like a stripped down version and I think it would be a difficult vehicle to resell when he sells it. I would love some insight to this truck for you guys. Thanks in advance for your help.<img src="http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=51667&d=1366910613" border="0" alt="Name: 01.jpg

My name is Craig and I live in Celina, north of Dallas about 45 miles. I'm new to the site and glad to find you all.
I have a 2005 Yukon. When I connect the battery my inside blower runs on high and the outside lights blink. I bought this vehicle wrecked with a salvage title and it didn't do this until I had taken everything off the front end (including removing the fuse box from the fender). I have everything back together including connecting all my grounds and its ready to paint, but I can't find the problem. Any suggestions, please?
Thanks.

- - - Updated - - -

Updated info: I found a few others on the site with a similar blower experience and it seems best to replace the resister before looking any further. If it works it is a $21 fix. As for the lights this problem has not reoccurred.
