When I put the truck into gear I hear a faint chirping sound and when I accelerate a little it gets pretty loud.
In park or neutral the noise is really faint but doesnt get louder as I accelerate it has to be in gear. It is loud with a little acceleration and gets quieter with more acceleration. The noise is coming from the front near the crank pulley. I started it without the serpentine belt and it still makes the noise. Thanks for any help!

I own a 76 GMC K25 350 4WD. I'm looking to replace the exhaust system from the manifold back. Ease of installation & durability are preferred. I hope to stay with the stock manifolds & have 2 2.5" flow master mufflers on hand. I have narrowed my choices to Pypes SGT80 & Hooker Headers 16922HKR systems. Any thoughts? Or others that I should look into? Hoping for a do-it-yourself installation.

Long weekend ahead, so I want to make a few repairs. The intake is leaking again (replaced 3 years ago). I did not do it, so I am looking for some advise.
What all parts should I get besides the upper and lower intake gaskets? I have coolant, oil and filter.
Are there any special tools I will need?
Should I replace the thermostat?
Are there any 'tricks' or 'short cuts' I should know about?
Or anything you can tell me from past experiance will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey everyone. First thanks in advance for reading my posts and giving some input.
I have a 94 chevy c1500 v8 5.7L
Every so often my truck will turn off while driving and usually just start right baxk up. The first time it happened i replaced the battery, still nothing but then i took off and put back on the cable from starter to distribution cap for the spark plugs. She ran good after and then happened every once ina while. Yesterday i replaced all the spark plug cables for a start. Today it turned off twice while driving. I was planning on replacing the spark plugs too just so more is updated. Anyone had this or seen it before?

And another unrelated problem...
My wipers will turn off sometimes while using, sometimes not even start up at all. Just wondering if it would be a good start to switch the wiper pulse board or is anyone else had this problem and did something different to fix it.

Hey everyone this is my first post here and im hoping you guys can help me out. I bought a 1984 gmc k1500 last summer which ran fine. I went away to school and it sat without being started so when i was finally home it would not turn over. I put the battery on a charger it would not hold a charge so i replaced the battery. I let me friend hook up the new battery which he did backwards. After this it would not crank, i checked the fuses all fine, i checked if battery voltage was getting to the starter it was so now the starter is currently jumped straight from the battery. The truck cranks now but will not fire. I checked fuel which it is getting i then grounded out a spark plug wire got nothing. I took the cap off the distributor and the rotor is turning so i checked how many volts was getting to the distributor. When cranking the volts drop to about 8, 8.5 so i jumped directly from the battery to the distributor still got the same voltage. What do you think the problem is would hooking the battery backwards go all the way back enough to screw up the ignition coil or the distributor or even fry the ecu. Is the ignition switch the problem any input would be appreciated.

Hey guys,
So I got my new sierra classic 4x4 with an 8 inch lift. It use to fit in my old house by a 1/2 inch. Now that I bought my new house I can't pull it in the garage without letting air out of the tires. I love the stance with the 8inch lift and 22x14 wheels wrapped in 35x14.50. But it is a pain in the ass letting air out. Not to mention worried about damaging the side walls. So my question is. Has anyone ever done a 6 inch lift with airbags. My thinking is I can lower the air to get in the garage but fill when out. My other option would be to have a local company make me a set of 7" lift springs. Has anyone done any of these mods. Any help would be appreciated. Thx
