I have a question? For those that have the oil consumption issue on the 5.3 AFM engines what piston or pistons have people had issue with the rings seizing

Thanks for that advice. The truck has been in 2 HI all this time. Putting into 4Hi doesn't change the sound. I think I'd prefer clutch pack to transmission?
I don't know much about your problem but since you have 4WD it might be something to do with the 4WD differential or with clutch packs to engage/disengage
I wish that I could afford one but the military just doesn't pay enough It's probably for the best, even if I did own one I don't think I'd ever
"Old cars with electronic ignition"! HE-HE-HEEE! Anyhow, its TBI, if you have to hold the pedal for it to start, then I would look at the fuel
