I wonder if running a higher octane for a few tanks would smooth it out.

yea, I see a large number of the GMT-800s on the road with the "camper mirrors" that came as an option for the 900-NBS. Those have the LED
you best find out from the chev dealership using your vin # to ensure your using the correct octane. up here we have E85 octane fuel. then the 87-89-92-93

I do want to replace the whole mirror assembly as my adjustment motors don't work anymore either.
Is it leaking from the junction for the supply and shower outflow etc? Or is the spigot on the front leaking?
