Sorry for the late reply. I've been off the forum since April. The Z pack is a high performance set of clutch plates that allows extra plates to be installed into the drum. It's a great idea and increases the holding ability of the 3-4 clutch.
  2. Thank you for all the info! My kids will go nuts for the aquarium and my oldest for the submarine!
1.5 hours is not far at all. I will definately be plotting a course to Charleston after we get settled in to our campground!
  3. You can take boat trips out to Fort Sumter. There is an aquarium, the Aircraft Carrier Yorktown, along with a WWII submarine, WWI battleship or cruiser and a Coast Guard Cutter. There is also the excavation and preservation of the Hunley Submarine which was raised from Charleston Harbor a number of years ago. You can go in, see the artifacts, the sub and the reconstructed faces of the crew. The reconstructions were done from the skulls of the crew were found still at their stations. The crew men are buried at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston along side the second Hunley crew killed during the civil war.
  4. It is about a 1.5 hour drive if I remember correctly. If you are camping in or near Ocean Lakes Campground you should be able to do it in 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Longer if you are in North Charleston.
  5. Saw your post on trailer hauling. If you have not slipped down the Carolina Coast to Charleston from Myrtle for a day trip it is worth the drive. The Holy City is a completely different experience. The one thing they have in common is heat. Being a Canadian in South Carolina is probably like a Carolinian in Upstate New York in the winter. I had never seen that much snow or experienced air so cold my nose hairs stiffened! If you and your family come to my lovely state in July or August, more than once, I am impressed!
