Man, I was all over this state. I wish I had another day or two to just sit around, but it's back to the daily grind. It was a good two weeks though. You have a good Christmas and New Years?

Whats the daily limit for dove out there? We have a 10 a day limit and posession of no more than 20 birds.

Sounds like good times. If you ever make it out my way we've got decent hunting and fishig out here. My wifes uncle is state guide for hunting and fishing - a good guy to know. The dove opener was good. Everyone I know got a limit between 20 minuets to two hours.

I'm at 33' end to end. The trailer has a dry weight of 7000 pounds.
I do most of my camping where I hunt upland game and water fowl near the east end of the Salton Sea, CA. There is not a lot of room for 30 + foot trailers in southern CA, kind of a bummer.
On a side note, I had my father in laws old boat at the Long Beach boat launch. She came in at 10K pounds and the ramp is steep. I put the truck in 4 low and the motor pulled the boat out of the water at just above idle. Not too bad.

My milage brake down goes like this. Unloaded at 60 MPH I get 24 MPG, at 80 MPH I get 19 MPG or so.
Loaded with 8000 pounds of trailer and a few hundred more in the bed I get as good as 14 MPG and as bad as 10 MPG. Speeds range from 65 MPH to 75 MPH and of course it depends on grades. The flatter the better. I am convinced that the Cummings motor gets the best milage out ther. It also has very good low end torque but avalaible power starts dropping off at highway speeds. Alltogether, the 2500 ram is a good platform.
Where do you go camping? And what do you guys do while you're out there?

Hey there. It's been hectic with work the past couple of months but the peak season is over. I can relax a little and get on the internet more. I haven't had the truck dyno'd yet. I haven't had time to do much of anything. I worked 6 days a week and on my off day it was usually doing the various things around the house or working on the car or truck. I just replaced my wheel hub assembly's last Sat on the truck. Hope you had a great holiday and happy new year.
