Yea, I grew up with cars that had points and plugs that wore out in 20,000 miles. I enjoy the lower maintenance cost of the electronically controlled engines but outside of the very basics, cannot trouble shoot much of anything. Now with the books and the scanner I will be to fix a couple of lingering problems and extend the life of the truck even further.
For fun I teach my old dog new tricks!
I have a little problem lol. I took my grill off a few months ago to repair some stuff that the previous owner had broken and I decided I would paint it. I tried sanding the chrome off but it didn't work so I used some type of acid that my brother had and oven cleaner. Neither worked, but the oven cleaner stained some area's of the plastic. I sanded it down using 80 grit and it got rid of some of the stains but the other do not want to come off. Do you know of a way to get rid of the stains?
I think you can take that mount off too, and I really like how they now include a cable lock. when i first looked at them they didn't have that. Pretty slick. I have also seen mounts that put the tire upright against the front of the bed.
If you look on their website, they don't have a tiregate for the S10, and they are expensive. I do like this model though: http://www.tiregate.com/bed_mount_0.shtml. it would be my choice for my truck. i also want to add a bestop supertop, one of the canvas one that you cana zip out the windows and fold it up if you need to. perfect for my truck
hahahaha.....dang. I think im gonna try to take the amber out of mine here in a week or so. seems like its kinda aggravating, & im not sure if i can get a blowdryer round here that big or not. haha we'll see i guess.

lol i really wish i knew a lot more about it! i guess i need to mess up on a couple projects and have to fix them so i can learn how! lol because i'd have a lot more lights on my truck!!!! =]
well thanks a bunch for this info! if he ends up going through with this ill put pics up! Ted
Would the actual install of the fixture and the harness be a lot? i installed my first set of lights on a truck last week i havent dealt much with them. is it more of a connect the wire color or is there a lot into connecting them? i know how to run the HID's just not too sure about hooking the eletricity to the truck since he currently doesnt have fog lights at all...
