Hey thanks. The black bowtie was very easy. Undo the fasteners behind bowtie, pop it out. Sand it so that spray paint will adhere better. I used black satin Krylon which is made to adhere to plastic objects. Debadging on the other hand was a pain. Tried several techniques, got it off with heat gun and fishing line. A local detailer said they will usually do it for about fifty dollars with out damaging the paint. Just a tip for you.
Hey lovin the black bowtie and debadging, was it hard to do either of those? Did you do them yourself or have it done?
well i had them put on profesionally because i was busy with swim team and school at thime but ive looked at them a few times and it looks really easy. its just 6 bolts on each side and theres no drilling. it all bolts onto pre existing factory holes for the factory steps. the oly trick part i could imagine would be aligning it straight when you instal them, which would probly be really easy if u had 1 person helping you out
thanx i got the nfabs pretty cheap and i love the look to. and im not a big fan of lightbars on daily drivers. but in the long future i might make this my project truck haha
Hey thanks for compliments, ive got all my info from this place and alot of research. I only have a 2.25 inch leveling kit from readylift. After alot of research i found this to be the best product. It gives you 2.25 inches of lift in the front while all others ive looked into give you only 2 inches of lift. My wheels are 18x9 with a positive 10 offset or 5.4 inches of backspacing (those numbers are very important). My tires are 33x12.50x18. Thats the only suspension modification on the truck. I have a wife and two kids to and was also considering a 4 to 6 inch lift. Let me tell you how glad i am i didnt do the lift. The cost of a good lift is going to run you $1800 plus another $900 for install, then you have to get new wheels and tires so its really pricey. A readylift leveling kit is around $200 and install can be done by you or a mechanuc for about $200. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
