    The app is torque. I use android but im pretty sure u can get it for other phones too. The app was $5, the adapter was $20 on ebay. If I did it again I would buy a better adapter.

    The story with the ghetto painted tailgate is a LONG one but I will spare you several minutes It happened like this; buddy with jacked up Z71 got stuck BRAVO ALPHA DELTA (bad) at 0100 (1AM). Phone rings at 0105 (1:05AM), I get out of bed and drive the 45 minutes to where he is stuck. Looks like he's in a pond but its about a 4 foot deep rut filled with water. There are 3 other trucks there, Duramax, F250, and a Cummins, all jacked up with huge mud tires and ALL STUCK. I get through the same stuff they're stuck in with my little stock Z71 on ALL TERRAINS. Pull all 3 out, chain snaps on Duramax, hits his back glass and shatters it; rest of chain smashed into my tailgate, denting it. Hook up to buddy's Z71, snap his tow hooks and chains back against my tailgate denting it EVEN more beyond repair.

    After 5 hours, FINALLY get everyone unstuck (mine never got stuck) and back on road. 2 weeks later, I drop $100 for a tailgate from a 2005 Chevy Maroon in color, it was half assed primed into a crude looking "W".

    One night after leaving the bar, a friend when she was drunk as hell yells, "Look there's your truck with that ghetto ass painted tailgate." Made sense since I bought it from the "ghetto" . And thats about it. Might sand it down today if I have the time and rattle can prime it to almost match the truck.

    thanks man, it took about 3 years and a lot of dedication but i have been slowly getting her almost right where I want her to be.

    I really like it. I love how it shows everything about my truck right there on the screen. Ya i have used the driving coach. What you do is set the mpg's you wanna get then it will tell you if you are accelerating too much or braking too much. It really helps.
