    Nope all i did was just replace the stock bulbs with LEDs,your owners manuel has the bulb types for your truck and im pretty sure the 194s are current with Chevrolet not sure but for the 99 most of my inside lights are 194s i buy all mine from ebay in bulk the most i pay is $8.40 from china dont worry the LEDs last FOREVER! So let me know if you have any more questions and i will answer them to the best of my knowledge
