Hi, thanks for the welcome, seems Ive come to the right place
Well, I'm not sure about moving vehicles (especially after they slid off the road from the Texas ice storms) , but it works great for small trees, bushes, branches, etc.
btw, I meant that it bolts onto the tow eye mounts, as you have to remove the tow eyes to install.
It's the Westin Sportsman (not the winch mount version). I also removed the headlight grills, but typically they have 3 smaller bars going across the headlights. It also has auxiliary light mounts that may come in handy for me someday. Lastly, I like the fact that it is not overwhelming...For me, it is the perfect size with all of toughness of the larger ones.
It is very solid....I have "pushed" many things out of the way while off-roading. It bolts into the OEM tow eyes, so installing is a breeze and since it bolts directly to the frame without any modifications, it mounts great.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.....
Go nuts Vin!
To be honest, the truck's been sitting with a dead battery, flat tire, and in need of a little pick-me-up for the past few months. I feel shame.... LOL. Hope things are going well with you!
yea, new signature pic. Other one was outdated. Installed them back in November. I bought K-Source Mirrors from bibitbuy on ebay. Heat and Signals work perfectly and well constructed. Installed and they were level to the truck, not like some peoples that are angled. Minor shake with mirror at highway speed but think its just from the larger mirrors. Do have a problem with right side mirror folding in on cold cold mornings. Think it's just the tensioner that holds in place is too loose and needs tightening. Motor to adjust mirrors is noisy compared to old ones but all in all. They do the job, look oem and well constructed.
They are just about right for good acoustics. I'm happy with them and when I crank the radio I can get quite a lot of bass for being shallow mount subs. I do have a manual adjustment as well as my head unit to fine tweak the subs which helps a lot.
Judging from your last post I see headers & a few other speed parts in your future ha ha ha You've got it in your blood now. All it takes is one or two times & you're hooked
