Yea I was down last Saturday. Went to the firestone dealership as you suggested. They didn't give me any better of a price, but the location was much more convenient.

Well, it took a LOT of time to decide, believe me. However for me the best solution was something called the iSimple. There are a couple of versions of it, the one I got is called the iSimple Tranzit. It only allows for connection of iPods, not other mp3 players, charges the ipod while plugged in and is wired in directly to the stock radio/antenna.

It comes with a switch that tricks the radio into thinking it's a radio station, so I just set my radio to 87.9 and voila, crystal clear, static free music! It's essentially and FM transmitter that is wired to the radio to eliminate static and interference. However, I have yet to test it out in a densely populated area where more radio stations are present, but being in a small city it works great!

I'd say the only possible draw back is the fact that it only has two radio stations to choose from, so if you're in a city that has those stations occupied, you're outta luck basically. I picked it up for $80 + tax CAD @ Future Shop

No actual training in auto mechanics or small engine repair, however I do both and have taught myself everything I know through trial and error or forums like this. Getting better and more experienced every day! I love it.
