I cant remeber my own name HAHA.... and i lived in the south.. I FAR prefer winter i just hate having 50 degrees i either want snow or green.. Since i snowmobile in the winter and fish/boat during the summer. Right now there is no snow, and the fishing is horse garbage! And as the info i just wasnt willing to buy the manual for a simple pin problem.. If i had done the complete wiring conversion out of the 2000 Lumina like i was planning before i decided it wasnt worth the work then i would have needed the 2000 Manual since the car would have been more 2000 than 1995 at that point.. But now i am focusing my time on the 2000 S-10 blazer that i just bought for $1500.. I already bought the hub for the ABS light and on Wed im getting the sending unit for the gas guage, and a few tune up parts, and as a common thing i may have to do a FPR since this one may be leaking (strong fuel smell after start up, and hard starting from time to time)
      Then onto the 2000 Silverado...

Thanks alot again.. I had a thought that was the case... Ive done a lot of these kinds of conversions in the past. with other cars, and trucks. I have a thread in here talking about my 1988 Silverado with out the tach, and switching out the entire harness (and i mean the entire harness) for one out of a 1992, just to get a tach cluster. I like to update and make things look like they belong. Right now im ordering off of EBAY a full set of Tech manuals for my 2000 Z-71, and my 2000 S-10 Blazer.. I worked on tanks in the Army so i like to have an actual Tech manual to work on my cars/trucks and they more than pay for themselves...
      Have a good one..
Oh and i did notice that your in Canada??? Did you guys switch from nice summer weather to Friggin cold overnight? I live here in Northern MN About 200Kms from canada (right on Lake Superior)and we went from 80s one week to highs in the 50s! brr...

Sorry to keep bothering you with this. As i said i greatly appreciate the help.. So that is for a 2000???? Then what is for the 1995? since the 1995 is the same odd... Since i can tell the cluster has power since the guage will go to empty (as in not grounding problem) however will not read fuel. Odd... Id appreciate any ideas then since im now confused.. (not hard to do, and there really isnt any rush since i know you are a busy guy)
and also just so you know there is a great appreciation to have another GM tech here on the site since there are a few but none of them are very active. And it will help for those that have questions expecially with the newer trucks!

And i hate figuring out pins.. But as said i changed the entire interior out of a 2000 Lumina and the cluster is the last thing to do, and it will make a big difference...
Have a good one and thanks again
      Mike

Actually wondering if you could hook me up on a non truck thing.. I am changing the cluster out on my wifes Lumina to one with a tach... Well the one that i got was a 2000 part, and the car is a 1995.. If have a chance could you look up what pin the Fuel Signal comes in on? I know on the 1995 is 14, but i need to move it to get the fuel guage to work since it is different on the 2000 cluster. This is litterally the only thing holding me back on doing the update, since i have done everything else (changed parts over etc) for it to be like a 2000. Which is just more comfortable. And i dont feel like buying the GM service Manuals for a 2000 Lumina for one stinkin pin.. HAHA I already have a set of 1995 Tech manuals, hence how i know whats going on with the harness in the car but on the cluster the only thing that didnt work was the Fuel guage...

Hye man I might have to hit you up from time to time for some expert advice since i dont trust any of the GM dealers around here for info! Since it never seems to stop when you own used trucks HAHA
