What's your MPG? #2
Now that I've had my 2010 Traverse for a few weeks, I'm pretty much settled in that I'm going to get about 24 MPG freeway going between 60 and 65 with cruise control on. City is much different, depends on what type of stop-and-go traffic I'm in, but overall I'm right about 16 MPG total city and highway.
I'll repost my mileage since it has changed a bit.
Highway: Best: 21, Worst: 12, Normal: 16-18
City: Best: 12, Worst: 6, Normal:10-12
Combined: Best: 18, Worst: 12, Normal: 14-16
Factory EPA estimates: Highway: 16, City: 12, Combined: 14
So I'm running close to factory numbers with 198,000+ miles.
On the winter mix I'm running ~13.8 city and ~16 hwy. I get about ~14mpg combined since most of my driving is city. Factory numbers for this truck are 15-17mpg, so I'm pretty pleased to be running only 1mpg under par given the age of the truck and my mods.
Getting about 12-14 city
16-21 highway depending on speed. 70mph gets around 20 consistent while anything over drops it quick.
Towed 12,000lbs @ 85mph Friday night for 100 miles and got around 12 mpg from Central to Southern KY.
Thinking about a programmer to try to get the non towing mpgs up a lil more. (is it worth it?)
highest mpg ever obtained:17 mpg (steady 61 mph from corpus christi to dallas-fort worth)
usual highway from corpus christi to san antonio and vice versa: 14-15 mpg
city (to school, work, etc.): 12-13 mpg
My 2001 Silverado 2500HD 8.1L gets 10mpg...Loaded, unloaded, sitting still, in the mountains, on flat ground...It's just 10!
The 2000 Yukon XL 1500 5.3L gets 16-18mpg
96 1500 extended cab short bed 2wd w/Vortec 5.0L auto trans
15mpg overall. So far this year.
I just tallied it all up. Since my engine swap, I averaged 13.5mpg over 1500 miles. That was some highway, some city, and some dirt and 4x time thrown in. Huge improvement over my last setup!! :glasses:
I average about 12 in my 94k1500. Worst was about 9 but that was with a lot of 4wd and stop and go.
Driving it like I want to: 12mpg
Just tuned it up, any other Avy's doing much better?
