NP 246 Transfer Case
Hello, I hope Someone can help me!
I´d like to repair my transfer case on my 2000 Sierra Z71.
Now, the transfer case is removed and I need a part, very quick.
I can not find the part in the internet, so I hope this great forum has an answer :-)
I need the part with the number "5" on the diagramm...
Thank You very much for Your answers!!!
EDIT: Its the name "SHIMS"
Greetings from Bavaria!Attachment 49406
The shims should be part of the clutch rebuild kit.
Should be included with the friction plate kit or the steel plate kit.
can You tell me what Part Number is the Clutch Rebuild Kit on the drivetrain side?
Thany You very much!
I called drivetrain.com. They tell me that there is no part number available for the shim and it does not come in any rebuild kit. Perhaps from the dealer?
Thank You very much, in Germany i called some the Chevrolet Dealer, but not one of them get parts of Silverados or Sierras...
I found one dealer in ebay, but hes not going to send to germany, this must be the right rebuild kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/246-GM-Chevr...8662c4&vxp=mtr
I would like to buy the complete rebuild kit, if it`s no chance to get the part alone...
But there I found nothing part number, too.
What happened to yours? Was it damaged?
The guy at drivetrain.com said that the shim is .060" ~ .062" in thickness. (1.52mm~1.57mm)
This bearing was damaged:http://cobratransmission.com/index.p...ts_id=55024015 i bought an rebuil kit and so I´ve seen that the shims is damaged, too. I don`t know why!
Did the guy at drivetrain.com said in what part number of the kits are the shim i need is included?
I need the 0.60 shim with 1.54mm in thickness.
Thank You, Bavarian
It is not in any kit that they have. He cannot get them.
Ok, I think i go to an "metal-worker" how makes me an special-mode of the shim.
Thank You very much for Your great help!!!
How did it go? Were you able to get your transfer case working again?
