the rad hose to remove would be the lowest one . this will cause the rad and about 1/2 of the engine to drain . some coolant will be trapped in the engine . remove hoses at the engine only for the heater core ,, then blow out the heater core, remove the plastic pressure tank and wash out .
the thermostat that I get has the goose neck/thermostat all one section not just the thermostat alone. cost last time was $23.oo USD. but this had a lifetime warranty.
I have had issues with this vehicle not getting up to proper temp. thermostat was defective.wanted to run at 180 deg f instead of 195deg f. quality parts are hard to find in today's Chinese world.
I looked up the part for your vehicle . I would get the stant 14298 thermostat with the housing. I find it interesting that this is now with a 1 year warranty..... where I have the original sales receipt with the lifetime warranty. I guess they had a lot of issues with these ......
