I wonder how hard it would be to take a piece of metal and make one myself, rather than buying another one or reusing the ones that I have.
I finally had to do something this winter, ice fishing is done where I'm at and so is hunting so I put a little time in changing my bowties from ugly gold to black.
I have never done anything like this but thought it turned out pretty good, thanks to all the people on here posting how to do it.
I took off the grill bowtie first and then the tailgate one-first I scuffed the bowties up a little and then cleaned them up good- I then shot them with light to medium coats of gloss black krylon fusion 5 coats about ten minutes apart then about fifteen minutes later put my first coat of krylon clear, every five to ten minutes another light coat.. I let both sit overnight and wet sanded them with 3000 grit then used rubbing compound and waxed..Here is how they look:happy:
ill have to do this once i get a few extra dollars!
Nice. This might actually be the most popular mod on the site.
