I found it on the front differential, unplugged it, and...
Alcona County, not far from Lincoln, MI.
I was told it was on the front axle by one guy. I was told that there are two actuators, one on each front wheel by another guy. I guess I'll have to buy the book.
I'm trying to find something that shows me where the actuator is, or any kind of wiring diagram that shows me what else is in the circuit. So far, no luck.
I hear a click like a relay closing under the hood. Then the fuse blows. Not sure of the wiring, so not sure if there's a relay before the actuator.
I have a '95 Suburban and I don't want to spend a lot of money keeping it going because so many things are failing, but I do want the 4WD working. I've used it often and I live where the snow makes...
I'm experiencing the same problem and I have detected that the 4WD fuse in the fuse panel is blown and a new fuse blows every time I try to engage the 4WD. I don't know where to go from there.
