Thats a lot of dinero for something with such high miles so early in its life.
I remember there was a 2003ish Duramax Silverado on Ebay and it already had like 250,000 miles on it.

Hey theres a 2001 Short Bed Silverado in my area with a 4.3.
It has 22 inch rims (hopefully the guy has the stock rims cause Im not a dub kinda guy) and 135,000 miles,
He wants $7000 for it,...

I go by my Oil Life Monitor.
I drive %90 freeway and at 10% oil life remaining Im at about 7,000 miles and I'll change it the weekend it hits 10%
I personally follow it.
The monitors are calibrated for Regular oil.
I use synthetics and since they last longer I figure using the OLM is an even better bet.

I've read somewhere that adding 1 pound of weight in the tires/rims is equivalent to adding 8 pounds of weight to your car.

My first car was a 89 Blazer with a 4.3
It was the carbuerated model and I beleive it had 160 horsepower and 250 Torque.

Oh and to add to this, my parents have a 5.9 Durango and that thing gets 10MPG no matter what. The dealer sticker said 13/17.

Best way to improve your MPG is make sure your trucks in tip top shape.
New O2 Sensor,New Plugs, New Maf, Do a top engine clean and run a good cleaner like Sea Foam or Berryman throughthe gas tank...
