I ran 265's on my 2004 2500HD 4x4. I was told that the factory rim to too narrow for 285's. The tire shop said they would put them on but I would have no warranty.

Had to replace the water pump on my 04 2500 6.0L at about 80,000 miles. Passengers side o-ring seal was leaking. Piece of cake. Didn't have to touch the starter.

    WTB: 16x6.5 steel wheel

    2003 Suburban 2500
Looking for a stock steel 8 lug, 16"x6.5" wheel to use as my spare. Mine is rusted to heck. No longer road worthy.
Any 1999 thru 2006 8 lug wheel should work.

Looks like the previous owner switched to 10W40 about 90k miles ago! Switching back to 5W30 or 10W30 won't hurt anything. If you notice a drop in oil pressure switch back. Any damage (and I'm not...

This thread is about HP & Torque for small block Chevy motors. Why must you always throw in info on diesel semi engines? That was a rhetorical question....

I call BS. The following numbers are from dyno runs conducted by SuperChevy magazine. As you can very clearly see, the 302, 327 and 350 from 1971 made their max torque at 4,000 rpm - 4,500 rpm.

These are light duty trucks not semis. Any light duty truck that makes 90% of its max torque below 2k is pretty darn good. I think maybe your daily driver should be an International CTX.

Your truck has been using Mobile High Mileage 10W40 for the last 90,000 miles. You have decent oil pressure. Why change now?

    +1 to that.

The 2010 and up L96 makes 90% of its 380 lb.ft. at 2,000 rpm. Surely Cowpie will find something inferior here.

Pressure is good with the current oil. I wouldn't change a thing.
My guess is that with 5W30 synthetic you will see pressures above 40psi under acceleration.

    Ecoboost Issues

Not sure if this is the best forum but I found the article interesting. I am VERY glad GM chose to not mimic Ford and stayed away from small displacement turbo engines....
