no it's not a problem... your 2005 has a single pcm that controls both the engine and the tranny, so no worries there...

the diablo programmers come with 87 octane and 91 octane tunes on them... and if you were to get a custom tune done for the diablo programmer/your truck, the custom tune can be done for either octane...

yeah, the diablo tools have the most end-user adjustable parameters available than any others... more complete/full parameter data logging compared to others... PLUS you can get custom tuning done...

the exhaust isn't going to do much for the v6... and as was mentioned, going to bigger pipe kills it even worse, you'll lose your low-end torque/power...

I've had a diablosport programmer/custom tune on my car since 2006, and have had no issues whatsoever... have just about 140,000 miles on my car now... I installed the tune back at about 3,000...

yes you would need to remove the hypertech tune... you would have to restore the original backup stock tune to the truck first before using a better diablo tool on it :-) and I can definitely get...

no gains..and you'll throw off your programming, because those newer style MAF's are not calibrated for your vehicle/programming... the newer MAF's run at different parameters than what you need for...

the diablosport inTune and Trinity would both work for your truck...

which tune did he install? did he modify the tune at all with the tool parameters, or use diablo's CMR tuning software to give you a custom tune? because the preset tunes do not give you those...

snake oil man... don't waste your money! especially since newer vehicles are flash-based ecm's and tcm's, there's no where to plug in a "chip" on the computers...
