My truck failed the emission test. I've done several things to it already like replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, put a can of Seafoam in the gas tank, filled it up with high octane gas....
The leak is to the front of the engine and more to the drivers side.

I need to install a component that will turn on when I turn the ignition switch on. Can I connect to the igntion switch itself? If not, where is the best place to splice in a fused wire. [15 amps]

I replaced the ignition coil and it's wire that connects to center of dist. cap.
The engine started, put on a few miles, no problem to report.
