I took the rear interior panel off, after I finally figured out what I was missing. (I didn't immediately spot the screw under the arm rest.)

The rod looks okay, so I think you're right, I think...
  3. Passenger rear door won't lock, at all, on 2004 Silverado crew cab

I have a 2004 Silverado Z71 crew cab, and also a young son. We have always had the "safety" lock on the back doors so that they cannot be opened from the inside. This weekend we were going...

It doesn't seem like a good deal to me. Considering I already have a good jack...I just need something to access the spare, and paying over $100 for a tool to get the spare is ridiculous.

I think I'm going to take a closer look at what is needed tonight, and see if I can manufacture something myself. If I come up with something that works fairly well (and fairly cheaply) I'll post...

Thanks for the tip. I think I will call them and ask. I just don't want to get there, and find out I don't have enough cash/credit on tap to pay for the repairs. It would suck to tell them, "Never...

I have Toyo OpenCountry A/Ts on my 04 Silverado Z71. I love 'em. We recently got a LOT of rain in north Texas, and I never once got stuck out in the pasture. They also have low road noise.

Unfortunately I don't think the previous owner did diddly-squat to the vehicle. The first thing I did was change the transmission fluid and do all the other 100,000-mile recommended maintenance. A...
