Thanks for the response.

I think we've had about enough "change" for this century. Keep CHEVY!
... but don't go the FEDEX way and drop the original name!
Lots of air horns, compressors, and complete kits on ebay.
I had Hadley air horns and a Viar compressor on my last truck. Loved both.
I removed them from the truck before I traded it in, but...
Well, I still haven't made the trip up to Denver and Casa Bonita.
The food Never Was the attraction at CB. But it is a neat place to visit. And for kids & grandkids, it ranks just above Chucky...
The food never was that great. LOL
It is just a fun place to go.
Anyhow, I just find something I like and keep ordering more of that - and skip the parts I don't like.
I'm not from Colorado and I don't live in Colorado - but it IS my favorite place on the planet!
I first visited Denver in the early 60's when my aunt & uncle lived there.
I went to tech-school at...

Ditto - nice looking truck!
I'm kinda new here too - and after having strayed to the dark side for 10 years, it is almost like I'm "new" to GM too. (I bought a Dodge Ram in 1999, when the Chevy...
So... reading-between--the-lines.. the new BATTERY fixed the problem?
That is kind of implied by Soarer's last post.
FWIW, always check *everything* related to the charging/cranking system...
Ain't it funny, I guy asks a question and never comes back to see the answers?
First reply was almost 2 months after the original question; then the topic gets revived after 6 months.. LOL
You could paint the holes, then pop in some of those plastic fasteners.
They are pretty cheap at the auto parts stores and come in different sizes. If you don't like black, paint the fasteners...

I'm looking & thinking about mudflaps for my '09 Sierra Dually. I haven't had time to really shop, so mostly I've just been thinking about it. The GMC flaps look nice, but seem a bit pricey to me....
Thanks, but I'll just order some.
I am a "Lifetime" dealer; ZO 149015
It is good to see an AMSOIL presence here. I just wish I had been here first
Well, my HEART is in Colorado, but my truck and my butt are in Tennessee! :(
I'll be visiting Colorado late next month, and probably stay about a month.
Yepper willbradfan, the USAFA auto...
I guess I need to clean up the truck and take some more pics.
Preferably after I add some AMSOIL decals to add a little color to the picture!
I also plan to add some tubular chrome "nerf bar"...
3500HD Crew Cab, 4x4Auto, DRW etc.
I hate to say it, but it is WHITE. That was the only color available here with the options we wanted. We'll have to dress it up some - real soon!
Thanks for the replies.
It was a tough choice, between a loaded Dodge Ram SLT Lariat and the GMC SLT .. but we decided on the GMC.
So, now i am a Duramax owner!
I'm looking at buying a 2009 SLT 3500HD DRW 4x4 LWB Auto Crew Cab.
I expect it to take a while to "break in", but after that, what kind of MPG can I expect, hwy at conservative speeds?
