Though I'd give a quick update on what I found. I finally got around to taking off the glove box. Boy was that easier than expected (4 screws). I then saw how the cable connects to the damper door...
good Description Dr0. I did a similar procedure when i replaced the rear heater core. took me 3 times to get all the air out... but since i don't have a lot of heat up front, i may try to find a hill...

good idea. I'm leaning towards not using the 4x10 because i'm not convinced they're gonna sound that great... and circles are much easier to cut anyway ;)

Thank you both. I'm at work and can't look, but i don't suppose its as easy to get to as just taking off the glove box door? or do i need to plan on taking off the entire dash?
