I'm sorry I haven't really been an active member of this forum recently, but I'll try to keep with it a bit more!
I bought a new truck back in October so in case any of you remember the...

I have stock rims, I'm more worried if it will look too small. What do you think?
I don't want it to look like I'm driving around on little pizza cutter tires!

It's time for some new tires, so I'm going to go up a size from my stock 245/75 R16.
I want to go up to 265/75 R16 or 285/75 R16 and I'm thinking about Yokohama Geolander AT-S.
With new tires I...
you say its a tool that attaches to your drill? would you know the name? sounds interesting[/QUOTE]
It was just labeled as paint and rust stripper.....
I do not have dual climate control, it's just an LS model with hot/cold and the different vent patterns.
I looked underneath when my girlfriend first started complaining but I was...
My 2001 silverado has cold air flowing in from somewhere under the glovebox on the passenger side.
I haven't been able to find the source. I can feel the heat coming from the left side under the...

Suicide doors also suck in the winter, at least in my body style. The DS and PS doors bounce off of them in the cold and it's not as secure. And when I say winter I mean REAL winter, Alberta boy! :)

I hope you can turn off the Collision alert and lane departure warning. I don't need a light to flash or my seat to vibrate, I shoulder check.
I like the looks, but I like the current body style as...
I used a 3M Paint stripper to get rid of my rust, but it was on the surface above the wheel wells so I'm not sure about underneath and on the frame.
The 3M Paint and rust stripper worked...

I want to put a new muffler on my 2001 Silverado 1500,
I'm thinking Flowmaster super 40, it's got a good aggressive tone but it's quite as loud as the 44 (Or so I am told? if I'm wrong tell me).

Yes 6.5" should work, I replaced the door speakers in my 2001 with 6.5" and I don't think they would have changed the speaker size with the body style.

I'm Cam, And I'm from ALBERTA!
I have a 2001 Silverado, and like any older Chevy truck it had rust over the back wheel wells..

Can someone who has preformed the procedure on page 2, #20 please answer a question for me;
I need to get this done on my 2001 silverado, the knocking has progressively gotten worse and I figure it...
bump up a page
I bought these fender flares for my 2001 Silverado so that I can do some minor work to the rust over the wheel well, and then hide it quite easily.
They came just as they did from the factory, matte...

I am currently a student and drive a 2001 Silverado 1500, 4x4 with a 5.3l.
The fuel efficiency is, OK. it's a truck and I knew what I was getting into when I bought it approximately 2 years ago....
I would suggest Diesel. I've pulled out 30.5 ft 5th wheel with my dad's 2006 duramax 2500hd. It pulls really nicely and there's no lack in power.
I would be equally concerned with stopping as much...
I Replaced the brakes on my truck myself, it's an '01 so I was pretty confident with it instead of taking it into a mechanic.
However I don't recall a burning smell at all and they've been on there...

So do you have any suggestions about how to replace the unit? I've also heard a rumour from a family friend that it could be a "ground" problem.
My dad had an issue with that in his '06 duramax.

My truck is a 2001 Silverado 1500 4x4 with a 5.3L
It's been running great but the fuel gauge has been having some issues, while I'm driving it works perfectly fine and has a proper reading..
