It's been a while since we've had an update in this thread and if there are still some out there having issues, I don't want to see this die.... So, here's my update on the noise issue with my 2010...

Actually, 10-08-58-001E is the latest (March 8, 2011). They're posted earlier in this thread.

My dealer wants another shot at fixing it. When I pressured for info on what exactly they are going to do, I got this:
"In short Todd there is some additional sealing around the cab vents on the...

I'd like to take credit but I did not write that. It came from Jackie, the Service Manager that forum member SlenderBeast cited in his post. I sent her an e-mail asking about the repair and whether...

Information and a pic from Jackie:
ACTUALLY THIS IS ABOUT A 4 HOUR PROCESS. WE CUT DOWN THE OLD STYLE DUCTS TO MAKE THEM SKINNIER AND SHORTER AND ADD A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF FOAM INSIDE IT TOO....

SlenderBeast, you've provided the brightest spot in this whole mess I've seen so far! Where are you located and who is this local dealer? Maybe there's a chance I can get my dealer in touch with...

I have a '10 Sierra Crew Cab with the 6.2L. I love this engine! I run 10% ethanol and it gets 17+mpg empty on the highway, 15+mpg overall city/highway. I tow about 8000# occasionally and then it...

Wondering if you ever got the heavier mat installed and whether or not it made a difference...

Bulletin #10-08-58-001A was the original attempt at a resolution. It does nothing to solve the noise.
Bulletin #10-08-58-001B was attempt #2...it adds agressive sealing of all seams and holes in...

Same here...2010 Sierra Crew Cab with 6.2L, approx 5500 miles. Feels like a rough idle, but not enough in my case to make the tach needle move.

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear the bad news...but not surprised. I'm curious...is the latest TSB revision numbered "10-08-58-001C"? The TSB I had performed (unsucessfully) was "...001B".

Any new updates to report?

I too am convinced the noise is coming through the vents. My vents are now covered with packing foam (stays in through the rain) and the noise is significantly reduced. This issue will not be...
I'd start by changing the fuel filter, likely plugged. Sounds like it's starving for fuel.

Well, Just to add my latest update....picked up my truck today after the dealership performed the entire TSB and I have to say I'm expectantly disappointed. There may be a slight improvement but...

Update #1: Dealership had my truck for 8 hours today and didn't get it done. I got a 2011 Ext Cab for a loaner so I could leave it overnight. The TSB is indeed 15 pages (I have a copy of it in...

Mine (2010 Sierra 1/2 ton crew) is at the dealership today. I pointed out the TSB referenced earlier in this thread and requested that BOTH parts of the TSB be performed (upgraded insulation pad AND...

The manufacturer website is www.luvernetruck.com. They have a "stocking dealing" locator thing on there via e-mail.
I live about 25 miles from Sioux Falls. I moved to SF right after college. We...

I *WISH* I could fold 'Down" my rear seat. I much preferred the downward folding rear seat in my '02 Silverado to the upward folding seat in my new '10 Sierra. Ugh...but that's a different issue.

You can get them almost anywhere. I just installed a set of Luverne 4" oval bars on my crew cab. Luverne products are made about 30 miles from my house.

I've come to the exact conclusion on mine. The noise is coming from the vent on the right side. I can't find any reason why it's right side only. Pondering different solutions now...not sure what...

Check this online VIN decoder. It reports all your RPO codes as well:

Same problem here with my 2010 Sierra Crew Cab. The noise is coming from the rear on the cab on the right hand side. Near the vent on that side, there’s holes in the insulation behind the seat, kind...
