Not the exact answer I believe you were seeking, but I did get some newer model rims/tires on Craigslist for cheaper than a set of replacement tires by themselves. Factory ride height as well.

dipstick gave you the right idea. The 2 degree variance will do fine. These engines timings will be taken over by the main cpu as long as you're close. If you go too far outside it will cause intake...

Got mine today for 3.05 here in Hermitage, TN. Sams has it for 3.01 and i've seen it slightly lower further away.

I would set timing this way as the vortec seems to "auto set" after getting Top dead center.
Remove spark plug from number 1 and stick your finger in its hole. (Sounds dirty but trust me). Rotate...

Take it how you will, but the way I timed my 97 suburban was a two man job.
Just take out number 1 spark plug and put your finger in the hole and have a buddy turn the engine with a socket on main...
Here recently I can honestly say I haven't kept track of miles because I just changed my intake manifold and I didn't spare any expense with the oil changes. I have probably done 3 in about 600 miles...

I thought the same thing at first, but I hooked the air filter and maf and stuff up and this is still an extra wire.
I have 2 hookup on my air cleaner box and I have used them both.
