Got an alignment. Ok, that was yesterday.
Started making templates for a rear bumper.
Found a pic. It looks like it came from down south, but the ones I have seen locally have CO plates.
I saw one today, but it was going the opposite direction on the interstate.
If the key is chipped, you need to go to a dealer. If it is not, you're fine a WalMart or wherever. Most reputable locksmiths and hardware stores (if they make car keys) will have a scanner to...
Well, I'm at work. Working is another story. ;-)
Look at the bottom grille picture. Imagine instead of "GMC" there's a block with the Chevy Bowtie in its place, the same size.
The GMC and...
Early 90's C/K Chevy and GMC used the same sheet metal. The plastic grill was slightly different in appearance, but either one works on either truck. The primary difference is one had "Chevrolet"...
I heard that at the end of the model year, GM ran out of Chevy grilles so they made up this conglomeration as they had extra GMC grilles.
Finding the GMC grille is easy. It's the bowtie device...
I may have been hallucinating, but I recall seeing Chevy Suburbans with a GMC style grille with a rectangular block with the bowtie instead of the "GMC" letters. Can anyone tell me the year(s) of...
I got some pictures...
The first is from the underside of the column and the second is a lower side view. You can see the rod coming up and curving along the column. I suspect id needs...

Keystone. 70 miles west of Denver, 4000 feet up.
Is there a source to get copies? The one in my '94 Suburban is faded beyond reading.
Unfortunately, the pics don't help.
I've found exploded parts diagrams of the steering column, but they don't show how/where the high beam rod attaches at the top end. I think it hooks to the...

Been reading the History of the Suburban and noticed in 1995 electronic 4wd shift was added. Has anyone looked at converting a 1992-1994 K-series from the floor shifter to electronic? If so, how hard...

US Army, 1988-1990. Sentenced to Ft Sill, OK - Basic, Advanced, and permenant party. Pershing II missiles.
I've searched here (and other places on the Interweb) with no luck. I have a problem with the rod connecting the high beam switch to the turnsignal/multifunction stalk. The rod ends about 1" below...

Getting started here after buying a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban, K2500, 5.7L, from a local ski resort.
Runs good, some minor mechanical issues, one potential not-so-minor (P/S pump whines).
